At what point does The Orville officially become accepted as Star Trek? This latest episode really feels like a proper episode of Star Trek the Next Generation but with a little more levity.
This weeks story is about the Crew of the Orville being tasked with infiltrating a Krill ship in order to obtain a copy of their holy writings in order to better understand the species. In doing so, the discover a dark secret.
With parallels from today’s headlines, this is the kind of story that Trek did best and it is a delight to see someone taking up the mantle. Too bad it isn’t Star Trek but I will take it where I can.

Too bad I can’t watch this one yet. It really looks like a great series. Everything I have read and seen for it, is certainly making me very enthusiastic for it 😀

It gets good after the 1st episode. When you do end up watching it, don’t let the pilot dissuade you.
