In Depth review of Star Trek Discovery Chapter One.
This is the mid-season finale to what has probably been the most tumultuous season of Star Trek I've witnessed. This series really doesn't seem to know what it wants to be, but I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's talk about the episode. This is the second part of a loose 2-part episode, part one seemed … Continue reading Star Trek Discovery Episode 9 mid season Finale Review
We start the episode in the middle of a battle with the Klingnots only to learn that the Klingnots have gained the upperhand in the war with the Federation. This is a total non-threat to the overall 'universe' as we know that the Federation survives intact but to the Discovery? Who knows? (And do we … Continue reading Star Trek Discovery Episode 8 review
In this episode the Crew beam an endangered creature called a Jormungandr aboard the ship. Unfortunately inside of it is one Harry Mudd and he is there to get his revenge on Captain Lorca by stealing and selling the Discovery to the Klingons. After attacking the crew he sets off a time device that causes … Continue reading Star Trek Discovery Episode 7 review
Solid episode of Star Trek Discovery tonight. This show is like being in a bad relationship, you keep getting hurt but, when they show you a moment of kindness, you keep coming back again with hopes they have changed. This time it was worth it.
"You haven't heard the last of Harcourt Fenton Mudd!" This series is like a rollercoaster, going from one bad episode to a good one to a mediocre one and back to a good one. This one was certainly on the upslope. In this episode Captain Lorca is captured and the crew of The Discovery must … Continue reading Star Trek Discovery Episode 5 mini review
The series gets darker (and more interesting) as Captain Lorca assigns Crewman Michael Burnam to attempt to find a use for the creature they captured in Episode 3. Meanwhile, the Klingnots* choose to raid the fallen Star Ship Shenzhou to deal with the needs of their own damaged vessel. Episode 4 continues revealing the dark … Continue reading Star Trek Discovery Episode 4 mini review
After a mediocre two-part pilot, Discovery's third episode really shines. Viewers finally get to meet the primary cast and get a chance to view the first true away mission in the series. Great story, great characters. THIS should have been the series pilot. It is a shame CBS is dooming the series behind a paywall. … Continue reading Star Trek Discovery Episode 3 mini review
